1. We will discuss the qualities of materials:  Our tables are made exclusively from exterior corrosion resistant materials such as Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Slate, Fabric specially engineered to be in outdoor environments, and electrostatic applied state of the art finish engineered to be resistant to the extremist of elements. What now?  lets place some attention on other materials that could be used in the manufacturing of outdoor tables! Wood covered in plastic or vinyl, What!  composite partial board covered with plastic, yes this also sounds scary! Play fields made of partial board covered by sheets of  plastic or Formica on both sides, yes this also sounds scary, fiberglass made in molds or applied to wood, extruded and molded plastics, and of course  fiber substrates in place of slate?? All of these methods are available to us but we choose not to use these products in our tables as we believe that we are building tables of the best available materials and using aluminum alloy castings, extrusions and stainless steel these products have all been tested and proven for years to be the absolute best for any outdoor conditions.
2. Pricing:  We will be the first to admit were not here to be the cheapest tables, were not here to compete with the bargain basement products were here to be the absolute best at a fair price.. we are firm believers that " To those whom believe price is the only consideration deserve what they get" Our tables are built to the highest specifications and playability and this is built into all out tables from our entry level to our customs..
3. Slate vs; Composite Beds:  The bed of the table is the playing surface this is where the trueness and playability begin, if the bed is not perfect so the playability will not be. Slate beds have been used for pool tables beds for hundreds of years and through these years there have been attempts to use other materials to replace this heavy rock with a lighter more suitable substance that's easier to move and transport and gives an equal playability, so far this has not happened! Slate will not be replaced by cement fiber substrates, partial boards, wood substrates, fiberglass sheets or any other materials in any near future so lets look at why.

• Slate: Slate can be mined from many different countries, Italy, Brazil, China or whatever all have similar characteristics and consistencies most slates are machined to within  .002 - .010 (ten thousandths) of an inch tolerance mostly .002-.005 or better which cant and will never be duplicated by these other products and be as cost effective as slate and their tolerances are not as stable as slate with weather changes and temperature playing a factor. We experimented with several types of fiber substrate and fiberglass filled cements, fiber boards, MDF boards and even marine grade plywood's build up veneers and everything that we could think of and others offered !nothing ever came close to the slate in any playability or longevity  tests. Were convinced that until some miracle product comes along Slate is the only bed for a pool table...( although we offer a low end entry level table with a bed made exclusively from a waterproof board we feel this is only for those where weight is a main concern and we make it very clear that we don't recommend this for extreme outdoor use).
• Rubber Cushions: can and always will be a factor in all pool tables indoor or out! The consistency of play and longevity are main concerns in this game and we have tested them both.. There are many types and styles of rubber rail bumpers available to pool table manufacturers, plus there are quality and specifications to be considered. We have chosen a gum rubber k-66 profile (meaning the angle of the cushion in relation to the contact of the ball) we also have utilized the corrected ball contact point of 1.40 inches from the bed which is consistent with professional and tournament designed pool tables. We are convinced and of course have tested the longevity of rail rubber in high heat and wet conditions and what we find is a good long life of our rail rubbers simply because they are covered in the waterproofed "sunbrella  Cloth" that repels water and shields and cools the rail rubber. We find this cloth prevents the damaging u.v. rays of the sun from attacking the cushion rubber, we have had tables in service for years and find no problems with the rail rubber going bad, we also have eliminated the use of wood as backing for our rails as we use a urethane composite rail backer to adhere our rail cushions to which we make a excellent bond between the rubber cushion and the rail. (Woods found on other outdoor tables absorb moisture and can release the glues making the rails play somewhat soggy and dead as we pool players call it) we experience great rail response even after 5 years of testing in the direct sunlight!
• Slate: We use quality slate almost exclusively as this seems to have the most consistent run-out and trueness, other slates are also very consistent but our jig fixtures are built to accommodate the quality slate drill patterns.
• Q and A: Question  Recently we were asked, What makes your table more expensive are they not made the same and why do you feel your table is better?.
• ANSWER: We have done very intense home work and studied all the available products on the market and found few similarities between our product and the others available. The only similarity is the use of the '"sunbrella outdoor fabric http://outdoorfabrics.com/warranty.htm which is used by other companies and the use of slate on some of the competitors tables (most use a fiber board or a composite board as a playing surface). once again we believe there is no substitution for precision honed slate (we have experimented with a water proof product as a bed and offer this on our low end table only when the table is not exposed to severe weather conditions and weight is also a concern) we have had very excellent results and will continue to test and offer similar products all the time.
• Question: How does your tables compare and what similarities to other outdoor tables do your tables have..
• Answer: Our tables are not like any other outdoor tables and were glad of that! we did not build the first outdoor pool table but then again would you feel comfortable driving a model A ford in downtown traffic today! We built a better mousetrap! we built from the ground up a completely new design based on an old theory that is in no way comparable to any other outdoor pool table on the market today and we will surly be a leader in design and development tommorrow now its a case of follow the leader as we will continue to build new designs and better an already superior product! Our outdoor pool tables are not built like the competition we build them to last, play like pool tables and are stylish, we guarantee that, plus our many models make them fit into most environments inside and out!
• Question: How do the tables stand up in the rain and weather? ANSWER: Our exclusive tables are built from all products that are found in outdoor environments everyday all across the world. 4 main ingredients,  Aluminum-stainless steel-protective Powder Coat Finish-proven slate beds! all 4 are proven on a daily basis worldwide to be the 4 best corrosion resistant materials! • Question: How about the felt, how long does it last? ANSWER: Generally we feel the felt is a consumable item like all pool tables cloth on an indoor table usually lasts 3-4 years in household use and 6-12 months in commercial applications, our outdoor felt is 100% acrylic and is resistant to fading, rot, mil due, tearing and generally will last 3-5 years with general care. The cloth we use exclusively is warranted by the manufacturer for 3 years against all the above and will replace the fabric absolutely free during that period, this is better than any indoor pool table cloth available in the world..
• Are Our Tables Just For Outdoors? not at all!!! our custom pool tables are at home inside just as well and are even more suited to the interior surroundings than nearly any indoor table available today! Our tables can accomodate custom faux finishes can be veneered with custom micas and woods or finished with standard and custom powder coat finishes...
• Custom Accessories: we can build accessories to go with any table style from custom cue racks to pub tables and light kits.
• Question: Do You Build A Coin Operated Model?
• Answer: Yes we have experimented with several designs of outdoor coin operated models and are close to the manufacture of the absolute best coin operated pool table ever! We have developed a table that just may play better than most current indoor bar style tables and will be 100% water proof ! Currently we are taking orders for this table and plan on unveiling this table sometime in June-August 2004.. Some of our competitors have been looking in the back door for a sneak peek but they wouldn't know what they were looking for anyway !
• Lighting and Cue Racks  we are the only custom outdoor pool table company in the world so it would only be right if we introduced the lighting and accessories to go with it! We manufacturer a line of custom cue racks some not shown on our site for the outdoor pool tables. these racks are as all our equipment fully waterproof and comes with our lifetime warranty!!
• Question: What about when we the owner will have to have service or have the table recovered?
• Answer: Our tables are built similar to conventional style tables the only difference is the choice of materials meaning stainless steel and corrosion resistant aluminum.. the rails and slate attachments and cloth installation is nearly the same as many standard indoor pool tables meaning that any pool table technician is very familiar with the repair and construction of our tables even though they may never seen one  up close. We offer the original replacement cloth which the cost is very close to or even less expensive than most standard indoor cloths used today! We offer also the exact replacement pocket assemblies for less than any standard matching assemblies available today even cheaper than those imported pockets used on many indoor tables sold today!
• JUST FOR THE RECORD!! We sent our technicians out in the field to recover another manufacturers (we wont throw any rocks here) outdoor pool table and we have found that this is not the case of other outdoor tables as to refelt several of the models from other manufacturers you simply have to remove the slate from a giant 6" deep pocket just to remove and replace the cloth! this is a job for superman as this slate weighs over 500 lbs and has to be lifted over 6 inches just to expose the sides of the cloth! Now when you get this 500lb rock out of the hole we found it nearly impossible to remove the staples and replace the cloth, then if your successful here you then must once again lift this slate and place it back in this big 4x8 foot hole! When we were finished we got to sing soprano in the local choir with ease.. the All Weather Outdoor table designed and built exclusively by us can be easily re-clothed successfully by nearly anyone (soon we will offer a video showing an 82 year Great Grandmother and her 62 year old Daughter) replace the cloth on there own All Weather Outdoor Billiards Table!
• Shipping variables: Shipping procedures are somewhat variable to a degree there are several ways we can ship your table.. unfortunately this being a pool table it is going to be heavy which is a necessary evil if you want the table to play well and last in any outdoor environment. Our tables like no other available can be broken down and shipped in pieces or can be assembled entirely and shipped as a single unit or can be disassembled and reassembled on the final playing area.. This is a quality only offered by us we have revolutionized this design and are the only outdoor pool table company that offers such versatility.. All of the other companies only offer a one piece construction which is always going to be very hard to install in many areas such as a second floor or a lanai where as our table can be completely disassembled and the single most heaviest part is the slate section at approx 150 lbs(7').
